Making Paint

This week has flown by, and one of the highlights was our art lesson, where we learnt about Giotto, and how he used to make paint with egg. We took some pastels (the easy way out - he used to use berries and insects!!) then crushed them and mixed with egg yolk. The kids had more fun making the paint, than actually using it - Aidan hardly wanted to paint, but crushed all the colours of the rainbow for his sisters!!

If art had been this much fun at school, I would never have wanted to do anything else! We got lost in the process and the afternoon just flew away.
